Since 2003 Chalayan has used various medias to present some of his collections and directed art films as well as installations.

Chalayan took part in important exhibitions such as at the Victoria and Albert Museum London, The Kyoto Costume Institute, The Palais du Louvre Paris, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and MOMA in New York.

Hussein Chalayan is one of the few designers who has had critically acclaimed solo museum shows: Musee des Arts Decoratifs Paris, Contemporary Art Museum Tokyo, Modern Museum Istanbul and Design Museum, London.

2016: Chalayan creations are featured in the ‘Manus X Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology’ exhibition at the MET in New-York alongside Dior and Alexander McQueen among others

2015: Hussein Chalayan is appointed Creative Director of VIONNET Ready-to-Wear Collection
